Mutual Aid - Black Resiliency Cluster Coordination
Completed Program
Black Resiliency Cluster – Supporting African, Caribbean and Black Communities.
Mutual aid is the act of meeting needs, while also building a shared understanding of why people don’t have what they need. It mobilizes people and creates movements by building solidarity. It is participatory, solving problems through collective action rather than waiting for saviors.
Formation of Pod Support Groups (small groups of neighbors who provide social and material support for one another), creation of cluster wide connectivity and collaboration around cluster specific needs, including, not only a wide array of vaccine supports such as vaccine access, vaccine literacy, navigating vaccine hesitancy, building vaccine confidence and community-based crisis response strategies.
